Excerpted from The Hill: The Senate Judiciary Committee voted with a strong bipartisan majority Tuesday evening to advance comprehensive immigration legislation that would put 11 million illegal immigrants on a path to citizenship.
The legislation raises caps on high-skilled workers and creates a new visa program for low-skilled workers.
It would allocate billions of dollars to securing the Southwestern border and tracking visas at airports and seaports around the country. It would make E-Verify mandatory for employers across the country to crack down on illegal workers and deter future waves of illegal immigration

WASHINGTON — The former top federal prosecutor in Arizona retaliated against the lead whistle-blower in the Fast and Furious gun-smuggling scandal by leaking an internal report that suggested the whistle-blower once favored allowing illegal gun sales as a way to track weapons to drug cartels in Mexico, the Justice Department’s inspector general’s office said Monday.
Dennis K. Burke, who resigned from the U.S. attorney’s office following the Fast and Furious matter, told investigators that he leaked an internal memorandum to a television producer in which ATF Special Agent John Dodson discussed an earlier case involving gun trafficking on the Continue Reading

An attorney for Exempt Organizations Director Lois G. Excerpted from NY Post: Wind, humidity and rainfall combined precisely to create the massive killer tornado in Moore, Okla. And when they did, the awesome amount of energy released over that city dwarfed the power of the atomic bomb that leveled Hiroshima.
On Tuesday afternoon, the National Weather Service gave it the top-of-the-scale rating of EF-5 for wind speed and breadth and severity of damage. Wind speeds were estimated at between 200 and 210 mph.
Several meteorologists contacted by The Associated Press used real time measurements to calculate the energy released during the storm’s life span of almost an hour. Continue Reading

Early reports had the Justice Department spying on Fox News reporter James Rosen, who was suspected of committing the crime of… investigative journalism. Later reports had the DOJ spying on Rosen and another reporter, as well as a Fox News producer. Then we found out those being surveilled were Rosen, another reporter, a Fox News producer and a couple of White House staffers. Now it looks like we can add Rosen’s parents to the list. Never let it be said that this administration doesn’t go all out to keep the family unit intact.
